Meet the team

Nick Dean FPFS

Professional life

Nick joined the financial services industry in 1986 and has worked as a financial adviser or consultant for some of the UK’s largest financial firms, including Aviva and Old Mutual Wealth (formerly Skandia).

As a result Nick is knowledgeable in a wide range of technical issues, including pensions, tax and trusts, and is in-touch with the market to obtain the best solutions for his clients.

He is a member of the family law association, Resolution, and accredited for dealing with the full range of financial matters in the event of relationship breakdown.

In 2012 Nick attained the most widely accepted “gold standard” qualification available for professional financial planners in the United Kingdom – Chartered Financial Planner.

In 2019 he went one stage further to become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS) which is the very highest designation awarded by the PFS / Chartered Insurance Institute. This achievement has only been obtained by a very small percentage of advisers operating in the UK.

Fellowship is universally regarded as the premier qualification and confirms commitment to further self-improvement and is available only to those who demonstrate their ability.

He is also one of a very limited number of financial advisers in the UK to have been accredited by Resolution for family law matters.

Nick’s areas of expertise include:

  • Planning to avoid paying inheritance tax
  • Retirement planning
  • Investment whilst minimising tax
  • Family Law and pensions in divorce
  • Cashflow planning
